[Angua is saluting on camera.]

It's been an honor being able to serve here in the City.

[Voice Post]

[Her words come off as sincere, but it sounds as though it's a struggle to keep them reigned in.]

Thank you for committing crimes, and being generally difficult, as it gives us something to police around he-[The last word is bitten off as she cuts the transmission.]

It's like being colorblind. It's really not all as inconvenient as it could be. I can still do my job, after all.

Although, after I caught up with a theif last night, I seemed to have gotten- [a small pause, in which she tries to translate nose senses into color] orange back. I can still see it today. Presumably one has to do with the other.

Not that I'm suggesting that regular citizens attempt to catch criminals. Please don't.

[/Voice Post]

[OoC: Because everyone knows that orange=excitement of being a cop amirite?

i am not]

This is a warning to all units that if you see anyone in my normal body, that is, Angua's, that they are not actually me. I'm under quite an unusual curse today.

And to the person that owns this body usually, I think we should have a talk. I'm not quite used to all of its [pause to contemplate phrasing-] features quite yet. And I'm certain you'll need help with mine.

[/Video Post]

[OoC: Backdated to way earlier this morning, please! Body swapped with [livejournal.com profile] greatergone for today.]
badhairlifetime: (Just another average night)
[Voice Post]

Look. It's not as though we don't appreciate the effort, but no, we don't need more people on the police force right now. If you're that serious then you can apply again tomorrow. The force will consider any applications still in queue then, but until midnight, the doors are closed to job offers. It's not up for negotiation, I've had too many narrow misses of people messing up weapons training today.

On another note, we're running low on bandages in the first aid kit.

[/Voice Post]

[OoC: She's talking about NPCs. Also, the bandages? Were for their own injuries, mostly self-inflicted.]

[Angua is recognizable, but it is difficult to place her at first, because she is paler than usual, dressed all in black, complete with a cloak. She speaks with a thick accent.]

I do not know vhat is goink on, but I do not vish to speak like zis or to dress in zis manner. It is not under my control today, but it appears to be ze only thing zhat is affekted. I vill not let it prevent me from beink on duty today. I refuse to allow myself to be side-tracked by zis [there is a considerable pause] curse. [As she emphasizes the word, a flash of lightning strikes in the background, seemingly within her room, and thunder rolls.]

[/Video Post]

[OoC: She's from Uberwald, land of the stereotypical vampires, werewolves, dwarves, and other generally non-human creatures of the night. This is a fun curse. >3 Also this would have been up yesterday, but my router crapped out. Fixing it tonight, so expect late tags.]
badhairlifetime: (Well this is new)

I remember this one. You lot weren't joking when you said that this curse came 'round often. They seem mostly harmless, at least.

Anyone from the Disc? [She pauses, thinking on that] Er, not that theater that travels around. I mean the entire Disc.

[/Video Post]

[OoC: Anything, anything at all! I'd LOVE someone from her series, and anyone who has any form of Uma Thurman totally welcomed too! Would prefer to avoid saying that she's from a book. And, really, is anyone surprised that he'd excel at Weird Newscasters?]
badhairlifetime: (Only you could be so likeable & stupid)
[Voice Post]

It's been one hectic month. And that's not even counting the curses. Yesterday's seemed familiar, though, I think we had it the other month, as well. Not even a year, and the City's already repeating? I'd like to hope that we can go back to whatever our sense of normalcy is, but who knows?

At any rate, I have a request. I'd like to learn how to properly write on, and use, this device. I'm willing to pay, if you're willing to teach.

[/Voice Post]

[OoC: The curse isn't technically the same, but she's seen the 'people stealing from each other' before and thinks that it is.]
badhairlifetime: (Well this is new)

Right. I think I've got the hang of this curse now. You all come into the City, say hello, sometimes mess with our heads, and then leave after two days. I get that about right?

I don't suppose that there's anyone from Ankh-Morpork, is there?

[/Video Post]

[OoC: Do not tell her that she's from a book, and do not let her think that the word of her being a werewolf is all over the City. Other than that? Go for whatever. AWWW, 'GUA'S FIRST 4TH WALL~! And the most appropriate link of the curse; if you're a Discworld fan this is a site that you should be going on.]
badhairlifetime: (Peering into the truth)
[Voice Post]

Well, I'm starting to figure this place out, in that I'm not sure that anyone can figure this place out. This is a rather bad situation, but I suppose that it could be worse. After all, I can be a policeman again, and I'm not going to miss out on anything when I go back home. Can anyone actually confirm this? Or at least if you've known people that can say it's true.

I've been walking the streets a bit, to understand how the city is supposed to look and everything. I was wondering about some of the restaurants around here. I'm pretty much a vegetarian and was curious as to which have all meatless options and which don't. You know the sort, the ones that even have live chickens in the back sometimes. Ha ha. Those are the sort I'll definitely want to avoid.

And I don't know what this wheel is doing here, but when I walked by it, it spit out a piece of paper that said "Today's moral: If you bathe a dog, the end result helps the neighborhood. If you bathe a cat, the end result helps your doctor." This is obviously one of the curses that I read about, but
this is odd.

[OoC: That city is lowercase on purpose, fyi. And get the moral? Cause the cat'll totally scratch and bite you! . . . Okay, I'm not funny. =_=]
