badhairlifetime: (Do you feel lucky punk?)
Shy Freddy (feat. Uma Thurman)

[Action Post]

Angua busts into a butcher shop, kicking down the door. She's got a very menacing looking bow and arrow locked in place. Like one pull of the trigger could blow everything outward. Next to her stands an [livejournal.com profile] orangetoughguy coming in to stand next to her, with an obviously smaller weapon. He's wearing some sort of anchor-patterned scarf. She, however, appears to be giving orders, this seems to be their usual interaction, and soon she's singing instructions, like a boss into a PA system, which just happens to be her network device.

[Voice Post]

"This is a stick-up, so you'd better cut it out,
give us your money, don't even think of trying to shout.
Your meat ain't what we want, so guy in the corner, better drop that box that's in front of your pants,
we don't want that sort of gift, or do you want me to fire, you'll have to learn on the spot how to dance.
Don't give us no meat, we'll only throw it on the ground, so you'd better get ready.
Go on and load up all that money, we'll go and hit up some movie with a wardrobe later, maybe, Ronnie?
Well now it's time for your role, go on and make sure they're all doing their job,
don't let them get away, don't let them form any ol' mob."

[/Voice Post]

She stops singing, looking pointedly at her partner, waiting for him to get up on this.

[/Post]

[OoC: Try and find all of the Lonely Island refs in this post and any future threads therein! Also, I apologize for the song, THIS IS SO NOT MY GENRE. >8]

[Angua is saluting on camera.]

It's been an honor being able to serve here in the City.

[/Video Post]

[About an hour later, edited]

[Voice Post]

[Her words come off as sincere, but it sounds as though it's a struggle to keep them reigned in.]

Thank you for committing crimes, and being generally difficult, as it gives us something to police around he-[The last word is bitten off as she cuts the transmission.]

[/Voice Post]
badhairlifetime: (This IS my nice face)
[Voice Post]

I am finding this place to be less amusing by the minute. I have seen nothing to indicate that you lot can get out, but I think that, perhaps, I am not really under the same category.

[/Voice Post]

[OoC: Angua's her haughty werewolf self as of when she was still living in Uberwald with her family pack. Also wolf icons don't necessarily mean wolf form unless specified.]
badhairlifetime: (Just another average night)

I won't say that I'm not still looking for anyone that's from the Disc, but I'm also keeping an eye on all of you to make sure that you behave. Just be sure to listen to what the citizens here say and try not to invade their personal space too much.

[/Video Post]

[OoC: Don't tell her that she's from a fictional series? Other'n that, anything goes! And I wasn't going to do the same sort of video, but screw it, it's my entry and no one cares anyway. And seriously, he's amazing.]
badhairlifetime: (Default)
[Action Post]

[A wolf is sitting on the edge of the City. It looks annoyed. Not angry, ready-to-attack annoyed, but more along the lines of if-anyone-says-anything-they-will-regret-it.

At least, probably. It's a little hard to tell under the nearly 10 inches of fluffy fur that it's sporting.]

[/Action Post]

[OoC: Because this is clearly the most likely winter outfit for her. Thick fur. Even though it's not full moon, and it's not intentional, the curse has made her Change into her outfit. *rimshot* I couldn't help but think of this video while writing this.]
badhairlifetime: (Fight or flight?)
[Voice Post]

It's like being colorblind. It's really not all as inconvenient as it could be. I can still do my job, after all.

Although, after I caught up with a theif last night, I seemed to have gotten- [a small pause, in which she tries to translate nose senses into color] orange back. I can still see it today. Presumably one has to do with the other.

Not that I'm suggesting that regular citizens attempt to catch criminals. Please don't.

[/Voice Post]

[OoC: Because everyone knows that orange=excitement of being a cop amirite?

i am not]
badhairlifetime: (Well this is new)

This is a warning to all units that if you see anyone in my normal body, that is, Angua's, that they are not actually me. I'm under quite an unusual curse today.

And to the person that owns this body usually, I think we should have a talk. I'm not quite used to all of its [pause to contemplate phrasing-] features quite yet. And I'm certain you'll need help with mine.

[/Video Post]

[OoC: Backdated to way earlier this morning, please! Body swapped with [livejournal.com profile] greatergone for today.]
badhairlifetime: (The eyes of similarity)
[Voice Post]

I think I've the general idea of this by now. Is there anything more to it than two days of people we've usually never met before and will likely not meet again, outside of this curse?

Please make a note not to crowd the doorways, or to trample anyone.

[/Voice Post]

[OoC: Do not mention that she or her life is from a series. Other than that, GO CRAZY! Also, Food, sponsored by Veridian Dynamics, from the series Better Off Ted. It's my favourite ad.]
badhairlifetime: (Hiding in the grass)
[Action/Video Post]

[Angua is outside, low to the ground, on all fours. She appears to have stepped on her device on her way down. Yes, in her human form, and yes fully dressed. At the edge of the video, you can see a bird, not a small one, idly preening itself. She very slowly stalks it, getting closer, until she's about three feet away. And then, as she starts to leap at it, she opens her mouth to give a yowl, the last thing it will hear-]

Bark!

[-and not only does the bird fly away, she actually startles herself, and runs towards a tree, stepping on her device again, turning it off.]

[OoC: Feel free to ask me whatever you'd like about cats and behavior! I could even tell you what drugs to use for worms, because I am a Crazy Cat Lady who has been through literally one hundred cats. Also, I was late to HMD, but I am still participating for anything you'd like to crit me on.]
badhairlifetime: (Default)

[Angua is recognizable, but it is difficult to place her at first, because she is paler than usual, dressed all in black, complete with a cloak. She speaks with a thick accent.]

I do not know vhat is goink on, but I do not vish to speak like zis or to dress in zis manner. It is not under my control today, but it appears to be ze only thing zhat is affekted. I vill not let it prevent me from beink on duty today. I refuse to allow myself to be side-tracked by zis [there is a considerable pause] curse. [As she emphasizes the word, a flash of lightning strikes in the background, seemingly within her room, and thunder rolls.]

[/Video Post]

[OoC: She's from Uberwald, land of the stereotypical vampires, werewolves, dwarves, and other generally non-human creatures of the night. This is a fun curse. >3 Also this would have been up yesterday, but my router crapped out. Fixing it tonight, so expect late tags.]
badhairlifetime: (Just another average night)
[Voice Post]

It wasn't the tower falling, it wasn't those harpy creatures, and it's not all these damned noises that I keep hearing every time I go inside, but it's something odd that's going on in this city. Odder than usual, even.

[/Voice Post]

[Action]

If you happen to run into Angua, she will seem less pleasant than usual. She's also noticeably got what looks very much like blood-colored hands and wrists, and it seems to go on, but she's wearing long sleeves today. She is on patrol, so watch out.

[/Action]

[OoC: Hit by Out Damned Spot! curse. She's rather displeased about it, and the curse, coupled with the fact that it's full moon tomorrow night, she's testier than usual. Make note if it's an action or video comment, but anything goes! Will be back at around ten-ish, EST.]
badhairlifetime: (I could play if you want me to)

It is undoubtedly Angua that is standing there, in front of the video, albeit with shorter hair, has an adam's apple, scruff on her chin, and she is in a plaid shirt, suspenders, heavy boots, and has an axe next to her.

"Alright, let's get this over with. Go on, look, laugh, even admire, if you'd like. I've gone through some changes due to the curse today. Yesterday the boys had their turn, it makes sense that it'd affect the girls, too." She looks around at the forest in the background.

"I had an urge to start cutting some of the trees down earlier, but it's really not all that bad. In fact, it's possibly a good thing, for some people. Although I did injure my foot when I was lifting the axe, and my other leg fell asleep as a result, so I can't really walk properly."

To demonstrate, she walks. Or, as it might better be described, she sticks the asleep leg completely straight out in front of her, bending at her waist, bending her knee, placing the leg on the ground, then sticking her other leg out back behind her, before swinging it straight forward, and repeats the process.

"A bit silly, though." Her face gets a little more serious, before stating, "I doubt that this is what's been going on, though. Other people have been feeling it too, right? The tower falling isn't going to be the last of it, not if my instinct's right." She stands around, thinking, before turning off the feed.

[/Video Post]

[OoC: I figured it'd make sense that the curse would just change her body completely, so that she wasn't a werewolf today. Obligatory LumberJack Song and Ministry of Silly Walks. TOLD YOU THAT I'D DO IT.

Also, seriously, guys, Supermoon. I saw it. It was AWESOME.]
badhairlifetime: (Well this is new)

I remember this one. You lot weren't joking when you said that this curse came 'round often. They seem mostly harmless, at least.

Anyone from the Disc? [She pauses, thinking on that] Er, not that theater that travels around. I mean the entire Disc.

[/Video Post]

[OoC: Anything, anything at all! I'd LOVE someone from her series, and anyone who has any form of Uma Thurman totally welcomed too! Would prefer to avoid saying that she's from a book. And, really, is anyone surprised that he'd excel at Weird Newscasters?]
badhairlifetime: (Fight or flight?)

"I don't suppose that this belongs to anyone, does it?" She holds up a snow globe, which depicts cobbled streets, dark alleyways, and a quite solid-looking river. "Cute, I suppose."

She shakes it, and when the snowflakes start falling, the globe reveals a snowy landscape in a forest. It is the sort of scene that is likely to have Mysterious Creatures lurking behind every tree. "I shouldn't be surprised, I suppose. Very clever, City."

[/Video Post]

[OoC: It'll be changing back and forth from Ankh-Moropork to Uberwald all day when she shakes it.]
badhairlifetime: (Repulsive and amusing at the same time)
You wake up in the morning, get ready, eat something, and then go to head off to work. You work in a police station, and have been inundated with reports of small, petty, thievery from a variety of citizens. You've informed them that, while their complaints are valid, the force cannot do anything about it, as they are not significant enough to warrant a search effort.

You seem to have taken a little too long to get ready, however, and are going to be late unless immediately head for work.

As you leave, you notice something glimmering in the sunlight.

What do you do? |

[OoC: Feel free to completely mess with the storyline. This isn't reflective of anything actually going on in the police force, I just made up some stuff. Text-based adventure!]
badhairlifetime: (Say what? Did you really just-)

I can't imagine why, but earlier today I was attacked by my lunch. Not to say that it's never happened before, but a salad and sandwich usually tend towards being more docile. They gave me a few swipes and growls before jumping at me.

Even so, I can't say that I was impressed. It'll take more than that to take down an experienced copper.

Speaking of which, I haven't formally introduced myself to you, City. I'm Angua, and I'm new on the City Police Watch, and I'm here to help.

[/Video Post]
badhairlifetime: (Peering into the truth)
[Voice Post]

Well, I'm starting to figure this place out, in that I'm not sure that anyone can figure this place out. This is a rather bad situation, but I suppose that it could be worse. After all, I can be a policeman again, and I'm not going to miss out on anything when I go back home. Can anyone actually confirm this? Or at least if you've known people that can say it's true.

I've been walking the streets a bit, to understand how the city is supposed to look and everything. I was wondering about some of the restaurants around here. I'm pretty much a vegetarian and was curious as to which have all meatless options and which don't. You know the sort, the ones that even have live chickens in the back sometimes. Ha ha. Those are the sort I'll definitely want to avoid.

And I don't know what this wheel is doing here, but when I walked by it, it spit out a piece of paper that said "Today's moral: If you bathe a dog, the end result helps the neighborhood. If you bathe a cat, the end result helps your doctor." This is obviously one of the curses that I read about, but
this is odd.

[OoC: That city is lowercase on purpose, fyi. And get the moral? Cause the cat'll totally scratch and bite you! . . . Okay, I'm not funny. =_=]
